A Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharma) course is a professional degree course, the curriculum of which is informational and technical in nature and aimed to prepare students to be pharmacy professionals. This includes general academic education which usually takes about two to three calendar years depending on the school or university selected.
The curriculum covers courses in pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical jurisprudence, pharmaceutical analysis, and hospital pharmacy. These subjects equip the students with knowledge. It offers an understanding of the fundamental concepts and procedures necessary for manufacturing pharmaceutical drugs for consumer use.
